En respuesta a:

ecuaciones segundo grado

Resuelve las siguientes ecuaciones:
 a)  -4x + 1 + 4 x^2 = 0
 b)  4x - 1 = 1 - x (x-3)

SOLUCIÓN

 a)

 -4x + 1 + 4 x^2 = 0

 4 x^2 -4x + 1 = 0

\begin{array}{ccc} & & x_1 = \frac{4+0}{8}=0.5\\ & \nearrow &\\ x=\frac{-(-4)\pm \sqrt{(-4)^2-4 \cdot4\cdot1}}{2 \cdot4}=
 \frac{4\pm \sqrt{0}}{8}& &\\ & \searrow &\\& &x_2 = \frac{4-0}{8}=0.5\end{array}

La solución es  \fbox{x=0.5}

 b)  4x - 1 = 1 - x (x-3)

 4x - 1 = 1 - x (x-3)

 4x - 1 = 1 - x^2 + 3x

 -1 + x^2 - 3x + 4x - 1 = 0

 x^2 + x - 2 = 0

\begin{array}{ccc} & & x_1 = \frac{-1+3}{2}=1\\ & \nearrow &\\ x=\frac{-1\pm \sqrt{1^2-4 \cdot1\cdot(-2)}}{2 \cdot1}=
 \frac{-1\pm \sqrt{9}}{2}& &\\ & \searrow &\\& &x_2 = \frac{-1-3}{2}=-2\end{array}

Las soluciones son \fbox{x=1} y \fbox{x=-2}
